Night (promoted by the ufsm dance degree course) will be themed, alluding to afro-brazilian and ethnic-racial relations, as it will be part of the education center's 2nd black november physics and sports (cefd). The exhibition takes place this friday (24), at 7pm, in the atrium of the architecture and urban planning course (building 9f on the main campus). 14 choreographies will be presented, including works from disciplines and projects. The 8th night of dance will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with works covering different types of dance, from contemporary and modern approaches to jazz, ballroom and afro-brazilian dances. Despite aesthetic and rhythmic differences, the works follow the theme of struggles, diversity and resistance. Professors jessé da cruz and neila baldi coordinate the event, organized by a committee made up of dance degree students. The purpose of noite da dança is to share artistic and investigative activities and provide artistic experiences of assembly, direction and public presentation. This is an extension project, whose objective is to bring the artistic productions of the dance degree course to the public of santa maria.
In this edition, there will also be a work from the bachelor of dance.Editora ufsm was present at the 69th porto alegre book fair, which took place between october 27th and november 15th. This year's edition had author and filmmaker tabajara ruas as its Germany Mobile Number List patron and had the theme “who reads knows the path”. During the 20 days of the fair, the ufsm bookstore occupied stall no. 8, selling books from editora ufsm and other university and commercial publishers in the country. The movement around the books was significant during every day of the fair, which this year had its opening hours expanded, opening from 10am to 8pm, every day. The ufsm livraria e editora team was present at stand no. 8 at the fair according to cárin zuchetto, an employee at the publishing house who served the public during every day of the fair, this was “an atypical year, in which sales were doubled and demand was very significant”. Regarding the reasons for this to happen, cárin mentions the diversity of titles on sale at the stand: “the other stands did not cover some of the areas that the publisher covered. We have a very varied, updated and organized bench.
According to cárin, even on rainy days, demand was high. “customers especially praised the stand’s material and the service and care for the public, which was only possible thanks to teamwork, including those who were in santa maria, who were responsible for restocking the books and promoting our stand.” on november 9th, the publisher's team traveled to the capital of rio grande do sul to hold a collective autograph session, in which 14 titles were launched. The event took place in the historic rio grande do sul memorial building and was attended by authors, members of editora ufsm and readers who came to honor the launch and guarantee an autograph on their copy. On that occasion, the following titles were launched: “ the city: the daily life of porto alegre in the chronicles of roque callage (1925-1930)” (v. 1 – co-edited with edipucrs) – organized by luciana murari; “tolina zanini, maria cristina dadalto and robson laverdi; “ curricular organization: knowledge, policies and perspectives” – authored by débora ortiz de leão; “ dance pedagogies ” – authored by neila baldi; “ psychology and law in tackling contemporary problems” – organized by cristiana rezende gonçalves caneda and jana gonçalves zappe. Among the best sellers by editora ufsm during the fair are the book “a cidade”, which deals with the daily life of the capital of rio grande do sul, through a selection of chronicles by roque callage published between 1925 and 1930; “flora de santa maria revisitada”, initially published in electronic format and recently also made available in print; and, in third and fourth place, “dance pedagogies” and “fundamentals of economics”, both published by the ufsm introductory texts collection.
